“Ancestral Radiance” by Olaniyi Atolagbe

“Woman Leader” by Moses Onugadi Njoku
Nigeria
In Woman Leader, Moses Onugadi Njoku captures the commanding presence of a female political figure — a galvanizing force among her peers and a rallying symbol for women’s empowerment. Set against the backdrop of Nigeria’s dynamic political season, the painting speaks to power, leadership, and the often-unseen influence of women who shape history from within the political sphere. Through expressive brushwork and bold colour choices, Njoku honours the spirit and determination of women leading change.
Third Prize — £50 Congratulations !

“Windrush Whispers” by Terox
Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom
Painted in acrylic on canvas, Windrush Whispers is a deeply personal tribute to the artist’s grandmother, who was part of the Windrush generation. Draped in a warm coat shaped like the bow of a boat — a symbol of her journey and resilience — she stands regal and reflective. Her expression captures both hope and vulnerability, embodying the courage of those who arrived in a new land seeking opportunity. The muted, nostalgic palette evokes memory and legacy, honouring the strength and grace of a generation whose contributions continue to shape modern Britain.
Curator’s Prize - Congratulations

“A Table in an Art Lesson” by Nicola Hepworth
London, United Kingdom
Nicola Hepworth’s A Table in an Art Lesson offers a beautifully observed snapshot of the modern classroom. Informed by her experience as an art teacher in East London, the piece depicts students at work — equal in presence and importance. Their uniforms, adorned with electronic-inspired patterns, symbolise a generation navigating the balance between tradition and technology. Hepworth’s flattened perspective and rhythmic composition reflect harmony, diversity, and the creative potential found within everyday moments of learning.
Highly commended - Congratulations
