This Painting was created during the 2020 Covid_19 pandemic Lockdown period, when I needed some pure escapism, I have a great fondness for the African Elephant and their gentle power and was feeling drawn more to wildlife and nature to calm my thoughts. A fresh subject matter was a breath of fresh air during an unprecedented time and I reminisced back to 1996 when I sold my first painting which depicted an elephant so decided to revisit the subject in my current style.
