Jennifer Lawrence - Flowers
This is my largest painting to date, and while I have always followed Jennifer Lawrence, I wanted to paint a picture as of her as I was so inspired by her portrayal of Katniss Everdeen in the Hunger Games. Her tenacity, determination and her underdog status just shows, it doesn't matter where we come from, we can succeed if we rise up together and fight the power!
Acrylic on canvas
190cm x 140cm x 10cm
This piece is unframed.
Artist Country of Origin:
This paint is very large and would suit an area that can accommodate its scale. Somewhere bright and light would be good.
About the artist:
As a self-taught artist from London, Mark spent his formative years in Islington and Camden and this is reflected in his work through the use of strong graphics, bold colours and impressively sized canvases.
Drawing on popular culture, music and film and his personal interest in urban and modern art has helped him to refine his works into quite a recognisable style, primarily using acrylic paints on stretched canvas.
Marks more recent works have been large scale, and full colour with a more flamboyant and free feeling, which he says has been as challenging as it has been rewarding. His preferred subject to paint is women, where he creates a sense of movement and drama while conveying a sense of emotion and softness, often with an almost tactile feeling to his imagery.
